We are committed to providing a safe working environment for all personnel on our projects. Safety is our first priority and an integral part of our culture. All personnel receive regular training in bi-weekly safety meetings. Leonard Contracting has used a third party safety consultant since 2005 to assist with our training program and perform unannounced site inspections each month to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

Safety starts during the pre-construction phase and continues throughout the project until the project is completed and ready for occupancy. Each subcontract agreement includes a set of Safety Rules that are project specific. Project superintendents are responsible for conducting Tool Box Safety Meeting on a weekly basis at each active project.

LC personnel attend training as it pertains to their duties. In most cases that includes the majority, if not all, of the following:
• OSHA 10-hour training (carpenters)
• OSHA 30-hour training (supervisors)
• First Aid & CPR
• Blood Bourne Pathogens
• Electrical Safety
• Fire Safety & Extinguisher Use
• Hazard Communication
• Fall Protection
• Personnel Protective Equipment
• Scissor & Aerial Boom Lifts
• Scaffolding
• Specialty Tool Training
